Yunjung Kim has been playing the violin for seven years, starting at age ten. She is an active chamber musician, leading quartets and chamber ensembles at Ferris High School and in music camps. For the past two years, her quartet and chamber ensemble won the regional Solo and Ensemble and was rated superior at state, playing works of Smetana, Shostakovich, Holberg, and Dvorak. At the Marrowstone Music Festival, she has also led three chamber ensembles, performing works of Ravel, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich. She joined the Spokane Youth Symphony program five years ago when she moved to Spokane. She has played with many other symphonies: All-State Symphony and Chamber Orchestra and the Marrowstone Festival Orchestra. She currently studies with Jason Bell and teaches other violin students in the Spokane south hill area.

DG started playing piano at age 5, and cello at age 6. Since, he has played in the Spokane Youth Symphony program since he was 9, and has appeared with the Spokane Youth Symphony as a soloist on both piano and cello, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto #20, Kol Nidrei and Elgar's Cello Concerto in E Minor. He has won numerous MusicFest awards, both on piano and cello, and played Beethoven Cello Sonata in F major in the MusicFest Festival Recital. Furthermore, he won the MusicFest Strings Division Young Artist, and played Saint-Saens Cello Concerto with the Spokane Symphony. During the summer, he participates in many music camps, such as the Seattle-Japan Suzuki festival, WSU Cougar String Camp and Spokane Youth Symphony's summer camp. He was also the principal cellist in the Washington All-State Symphony Orchestra, and has been principal cellist of the Spokane Youth Symphony for 3 years. DG greatly enjoys music and plans to play for the rest of his life.
